Forty Six Pages and a Whole Lotta Fun

This past weekend I went to a Scrapbooking "Suite Retreat." I got to spend the whole weekend (Friday at 2PM until Sunday at noon) at the Embassy Suites in Blue Ash. I shared a room with Louise and Donna (a friend and fellow Sunday School teacher at church). Along with about 30 other women in 10 other rooms, we scrapbooked the weekend away. I managed to get 46 pages done. To top it off, there were no meals to cook, no bottoms to wipe, no messes to clean up. FANTASTIC. We had a great time. I especially loved spending time with such great ladies. Tim managed beautifully with the boys. They even came to see me and brought flowers Saturday afternoon. Such sweet boys.

Snow Day

ANOTHER snow day for Loveland schools. Things have been pretty dull around here. We all have coughs. So, a lazy day was not a problem! Last Sunday, Zachary lost his second tooth at choir practice. This one was NOT swallowed (yay!). What a cute couple of kids!

We had to get creative to survive yet another day off school. We had read a book about the 100th day of school, and Zachary wanted to make hats. They each made a hat with 100 stickers. Then, Zachary, ENTIRELY ON HIS OWN, made a chain with 100 strips of paper. He worked very diligently, stapling each loop, and counting every 20 loops or so. It kept him busy for a good part of the morning. We also broke out the paint kit from Connie and Don. The boys worked together, calling themselves "a fine artist team," to create their "masterpiece." They had a ball working with real grown up paint on a canvas.

An "Unusual Adventure"

Today, Zachary and I had (in his words) an "unusual adventure." It was Jeremy's turn to spend an afternoon with Grandma. Between school and OT, Zachary and I got some exercise on the bike trail. He rode his bike, and I ran or walked according to how fast he was going! (He's a very good personal trainer, by the way.) We started in Old Loveland and went the opposite direction than what we usually go. Only a mile down the trail, we arrived at Miami Riverview Park. Zachary wanted to take a "park break." We had lots of fun on the playground, then we pedaled back to the car to head home.

On another note, tonight's Rachael Ray meal was Pasta with Roasted Eggplant Sauce. Yummy. Zachary even ate his sauce.
