Day Nine: Rain, Rain Go Away

It was a first for me at the cabin on Sunday - we went to church at Ely United Methodist Church. It's a small church, but it was PACKED. Turns out a member was turning 80, and his entire family was there! It was a nice service with great old-fashioned music. After church, we ran a couple of errands in town, and I finally got my fishing license.
Goober lost a tooth this morning in a toy. We are putting it under his blanket for the doggy tooth fairy.
When we got home, we sat out by the lake for a bit until it started to sprinkle. It continued to rain off and on for the rest of the day. Allison and I did get a quick walk with Goober. We went to co-op point, where we saw a TINY cabin for sale for $175,000. It was 2 "rooms," about 15x15 total. There was a sauna and 170 feet of lakeshore. Wow.We had planned to go to Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary to see the bears, but it was threatening thunderstorms, so we postponed again. Instead, we spent the late afternoon cooking and baking. Dinner was an extravaganza, with split pea soup, zuchinni pasta, pizza for the kids, and cowboy cookies for dessert. I showered the kids and sent them (and myself) to bed early.
