Day Fourteen: Relaxation

Friday was my most relaxing day yet, despite the fact that I spent the morning paying bills online. Late morning and afternoon, I relaxed in the sun on the boathouse and read, while Tim worked on the trim under the new countertop and the boys played, both inside and outside. The four of us had a "picnic" lunch in the screenhouse, and late in the afternoon, we went out in the boat. The kids wanted to fish off an island again. That was pretty unsuccessful, so we fished off the boat for a bit, too. Then, the kids played outside while Tim and I swam. Mom came down to the screenhouse, and we had a very relaxing hour or so just enjoying the evening. It had been very windy early in the day, but the wind died down in the evening. We had smoked pork steaks, baked sweet potatoes, and pasta salad for dinner. After dinner, Tim and I went out casting while mom stayed at the cabin with the boys. We played Pinochle for the first time since we've been here after the boys went to bed.
